Press StatementArtHatch and Distinction Gallery are pleased to announce their 6th annual art exhibit devoted to hot rods and customs of distinction entitled "IMMORTALIZED: Sometimes Beauty Never Fades". In addition to wall art this year's event includes 10 hand painted fedoras curated by Gregorio Escalante. This event is an art auction charity benefit that will feature a group of nationally recognized artists where all artworks will be auctioned off starting at only $100. This exhibition funds Distinction's annual art and photography scholarship fund for Palomar College students in honor of Charles "Chuck" Leslie Walker.
A special lineup of custom cars, including cars built by Hot Rods and Custom Stuff and Super Rides by Jordan, will be hand selected by Chick Koszis and displayed in front of the gallery. The overall event will run in conjunction with Escondido's famous "Cruisin Grand" which will have an incredible line-up of the finest and most unique customs and hot rods.
This event is free to the public, but a suggested donation of $5 to benefit Cruisin Grand would be appreciated. The Opening Reception will be held on Friday, August 12, 2016 from 6-9pm with Live Music by Duo with Buddy Dughi from (Hot Rod Trio) and Jonny Bowler (Guana Batz). VIP Pre-Party tickets ($20) from 5-6pm include Stone Beer, wine and food from Vinz Wine Bar, Wine from BK Cellars, treats from EscoGelato and conversation with the artists, sponsors and car owners.
There will be awards for artists, cars and also a Pinup contest with a Special Guest Judge, Gregorio Escalante, so come dressed in your best vintage outfit! Judging and awards begin at 8.
This year's Sponsors include King's Pawn, Ford of Escondido, Hyundai of Escondido, Mercedes-Benz of Escondido, Cruisin Grand, Valley View Casino, BK Cellars, Stone Brewing Co., Shannon Itzaina, EscoGelato, and Vinz Wine Bar.
The Exhibition will run from August 12th - September 3rd
The Silent Auction will end September 3rd at 2pm sharp, PST.
