Press Statement

ArtHatch and Distinction Gallery are pleased to present an exciting Group Exhibition featuring cellphone photography entitled "The Prodigy Show: Hipstamatic Addict Insane" curated and juried by the notable Joseph Bellows. This exhibit features cellphone photographs, some of these photographs using filters from Apps such as Instagram and Hipstamatic. The show highlights the evolving and accessible new craft of cellphone photography as a serious art form. The Opening Reception with live music will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2013 from 6-10pm. Complimentary Stone Brewery Beer and Wine will be served to guests 21 years of age or older. This exhibit is juried by Joseph Bellows whose gallery was established in 1998. The Gallery features rotating exhibitions of both historic and contemporary works drawn from the gallery's collection, with a special emphasis on American work. Joseph Bellows is a member of the Association of International Photography Art Dealers (AIPAD), and served on the Board of Directors from 2005 until 2012. The exhibition will run from April 10 - May 4, 2013.
