Olga TenyakovaBorn and raised in the Russian Far East, Olga Tenyakova relocated to the United States in 2002 leaving the entire body of work behind to start from a clean slate and to create art on a different level. Studying in the Society of Figurative Arts (Dallas, TX) transformed Olga's style focusing on the human form. "The figure allows me to explore matters that I find most significant in today's culture. I use my diverse life experience and art expression to fuel my exploration of humanity in the modern world". "I have always been fascinated by the Old Masters, but the most influential for me is work of Albrecht Durer. My visual stories transport a viewer to the timeless Renaissance period where everything is possible". Olga Tenyakova has exhibited her work internationally since 1992; her art is in private collections in Russia, USA, Sweden, Australia, France, and Germany. She currently resides in Escondido, California. |
