Josh Taylor

Josh Taylor makes no effort to hide his dark sense of humor as he describes himself thus: He likes to do artwork when he is given the opportunity, with particular interest in low pay and intolerable clients. He can be found touring the country or lying on his Star Wars sheets watching pro wrestling on the internet while thinking about how badly he hates everything. This self-effacing humor belies an esteemed educational background with a B.F.A. from the Pratt Institute of Fine Arts, NY, and an exquisite illustrative ability. Taylor's beautifully rendered yet quirky characters inhabit the equally beautiful brooding worlds of comics and graphic novels. His works read as snippets of a surreal narrative he invites the viewer to complete. It is no surprise that that he is currently working on a series of graphic novels series: Black Powder Red Earth.

Taylor has exhibited his work worldwide including Los Angeles, Berlin, New York, Tampa, Manilla and Paris. His clients include Grind King, Adio Footwear, Super Rad Toys, and BBDO West. He currently resides in the suburbs of Philadelphia.
