Sara Pai

Sarah is a self-taught artist residing in San Diego, CA. As young as she can remember she has been compelled to create art and was such a prolific 4 year old that her parents ended up providing a stack of unlimited drawing paper that she would cycle through at an alarming rate. She was accepted to major art colleges around the country including Rhode Island School of Design and Maryland Institute College of Art, but ended up in a career involving her second passion, human psychology, and spends her time working as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She rents a studio at through ArtHatch and spends her free time painting, and is even introducing her children to the joys of making art in the studio! She continues to blend her two passions through her art, creating moody works in oil that are rooted in classical painting techniques, but evoke universal human psychological themes and the power of transformative change.
